About Us

R and A Construction is a privately owned and operated, licensed, bonded general contractor. We serve the Tri-Valley, Central Valley, and East Bay. We have been fortunate enough to have been in the construction industry for over 30 years. Rocky Robertson, owner and founder of the company, received a Bachelors of Construction Engineering from San Jose State University in 1976. Since then he has served as a Stanislaus County Deputy Sheriff, was awarded the Governor’s Courage Award for Heroism from the State of California, and earned a title of Rodeo Champion and “Best all around Cowboy”.

Rocky’s love of construction and his natural talent in remodeling and a keen eye for design, led him to form R and A Construction. Rocky says “General Contracting is not for everyone” “it takes a lot of patience, pride, and knowledge of the trades to stay on top of the project”. I love what I do, I take ownership of my clients’ expectations, I’m a “hands-on” contractor, and I provide them with ideas and options, plan out the project, and guarantee quality work.
